I know how you feel, I think the being unappreciated part is what I am also feeling. Having been in the same job for many years, I'm a bit stuck in a rut... I can come up with ideas, though they are mostly recycled from previous years. Part of the job I guess.

Not sure what you have to do to get an outstanding. There are a couple of CM's on her who have got that, so perhaps they can give some suggestions. Personally, I'd just do what I usually do, and regulators can just lump it.

How about getting together with other cm's in your area, or going to one of the childcare forums? Find out about any local short courses you can attend for childminding to get you motivated again?

5 children 6 and under is hard work and obviously what the older might want to do, is not always suitbale for the youngers.

I cant help with what to do, apart from activites at home like cooking, painting, craft, playdough, hide and seek, puzzles or take all to the park - these are things you prob do anyway

As Polly said there are some CM on here who have got outstanding, maybe start a thread and ask what they did.

Hope you feel a bit more appreicated sson
