been asked to have a child tues and thurs parent works shifts and some weeks has a thursday off what do i charge for the thursday when parent is off as she will not use me on her day off if it's a thursday?

if you are a registered childminder and she wants that "space" you have to charge her normal price other wise you could be at a loss every other week

She has to pay you for both days every week otherwise you will be out of pocket. Explain it to her that you are definately not going to be able to fill the place as it is so irregular.

Alternativly, if you can afford to do so, you could offer a half fee reduction on her days off
