DLA threads on childcare

I'm sick of reporting DLA threads on children.
There is absolutely no point in having subject topics if people are going to ignore them. There is an SEN board. My own child has an SEN, I'm not being disabalist. But it's a bit like posting on chicken keepers when you have a dog.

Just stop posting on childcare.
I've also reported on site matters if anyone would like to comment

DLA threads on childcare | Mumsnet

I've reported several times that there are multiple DLA threads clogging up the paid childcare board. Which is in clear breach of the thread aims....

But DLA isn't exclusive to SEN. You can be disabled without SEN.

DLA is based on care needs.

It's a stupid thing to get in a tizz over.

But it has nothing to do with nannies, childminders and nurseries.
The title says:

Have your own thread for DLA if you don't it in SEN

Your own bloody thread isn’t even in the right bloody section under the rules you state.

maybe it’s time to get a hobby?

Summerrp · 17/04/2024 00:55

Why does it bother you so much ? I think DLA threads should be on absolutely every child forum topic and page going if it means parents getting support they need

BusyCM · 17/04/2024 08:30

I think it's the number of them, people post new ones before the old are full and then they all fill up the first page.

Care needs isn't the same as childcare (in the context of this forum). Maybe Money is a more appropriate section?

Morning, everyone. Thanks for letting us know about this. We've moved all the active threads on DLA over to the SN Children section, where we think they'll be useful to lots more people. We think perhaps the title of this section was confusing posters and they were reading it as 'caring for children' rather than as 'paid childcare'. Hopefully all sorted now.

If you spot any more new threads, just hit the report button and we can move those over, too.
