Bubble sitter app fees

What the fuck is wrong with them. Every few months they manage to make it less appealing for sitters but making us pay 25% fees (or 20% for super sitters) for every 1st sit?

I hope it ends up making them lose a lot of money. I sure as hell won't use them again. They can get stuffed to get any fees on my regular families, we're going off the app.

Yes! I legit made a Reddit post about this because I was outraged and wanted to shake ppl to make them understand how WRONG it is. I emailed bubble about it since I have lifetime supper status, their responses were so lacking. I laid out all the predictable ways this will impact the app and ppl using it. I questioned where the money was going, it’s a platform fee so it should be going towards the use of the platform not bare profits. I questioned why the burden was being put on sitters, end of the day sitters will have to up our fees to cover the cost, so parents will still be paying an increase, why have they put the burden of taking that payment from the parents onto the sitters… basically they already upped what they charge parents a bit ago and they don’t want to risk putting parents off using the app 🧐🙄 this was their solution.

I was a user of this app but think it's disgusting how they can justify taking 25% off a sitters first pay check with a family. They get very defensive when you tell them how exploiting it is and how it will mean only very unqualified and young sitters (who will charge less) will be on the app, removing all the qualified and experienced ones.
Personally I think they have got greedy and are about to see the fall out.
