Childcare when separated

My daughter turned two years old, and she started with a childminder at the beginning of the year. We tried to apply for free childcare in January but we were not eligible because I'm not working. Now, he left me and I am wondering to know if we would be now eligible. We are living in the same place at the moment but with the free childcare we would be able to find another place for one of us. Anyone knows about it? When I go to the childcare calculator, it only says if you live with your partner, but not if you're separated.

Thank you very much for your help everything it's very confusing at the moment.

Have a look at your local authority's website. They should have information on how to apply to see if you're eligible.
From April there are 2 different funding streams for 2 year olds.
One is for disadvantaged families and the new one is for working parents.
You will usually apply with your own local authority if you meet the disadvantaged criteria as listed here https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-2-year-olds

If you are still living together I would have thought it would be tricky to prove that you’re separated. You are still parenting together in the same home as such. As a previous poster mentioned, there is funding for disadvantaged 2 year olds that is worth looking at. The working entitlement you wouldn’t be eligible for if you are still not working.
