Will I have to pay back free childcare?

So this year DH earnt over 100k due to overtime, not base wage, and although our tax free entitlement stopped around January when it looked as those we were going to go over, we were told we didn’t have to pay any of the monies back as it was never expected that he would go over 100k and that this is the first time this has happened.

We are entitled to the 15/30 free hours childcare from September, as again we don’t anticipate he will earn over 100k so I will tick no he doesn’t expect to go over.

My question is, if he does go marginally over, has anyone ever had to pay the money back for the 15/30 hours free childcare? We don’t want to have the shock of having to pay back thousands in both tax free childcare, and the free hours!

Keep an eye on his overtime and tell him to pay more into his pension if he looks likely to go over

No. You won't have to repay anything but you won't be eligible when you next reconfirm. So funding will end on your grace period end date.
