Tax credits

I have received a tax credits letter saying I need an interview due to childcare costs for my children.

I was told by a friend you had to reapply yearly for childcare and hadn't done it since first applying.

I thought the payments I was getting were just the tax credits element of my claim.

I'm terrified of going to prison.

Please can anyone help?

How long did you keep claiming past your childcare ending? You would of had yearly statements with a breakdown of what you were being paid

Do you not use childcare anymore? You have to renew your tax credits every year or the claim stops, so how long as it been?
