Hiring a nanny

Hi,

I am newly divorced and am starting a new job, where I will be out of the house Monday to Thursday between 7am-6pm, then Friday 7am-4pm.

I have my daughter, who is 5 and I am guardian to twins aged 4, as well as triplets aged 1. The triplets are very happy at nursery Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

Before I got a new job, I was about to start looking for a cleaner, but not sure whether I will need one now. And whether I will need two or one nanny, if I get two, I am not sure they will be enough for them to do while the kids are at school. Never had a nanny before not sure how it works and how many kids I can ask them to look after.

I would also like to ask if I can have a night out between 7:30pm-11pm on a Wednesday/Thursday night once a week. It’s really hard to find a babysitter, so it would be really helpful. Or would this be to much?

I would never need the nanny to be available on the weekends.

Any advice will be helpful as I have only got 3 months until I start the new job?

So the nanny will look after 6 children in all

5yr - twins of 4 and triplets of 1

Triplets at nursery 8/5 so nanny need to take there and collect ?

Then take 5 to school and possibly 4 to school or pre school

I don't think you need 2 nannies as triplets not there most of the time

And sounds like no children 9/3 term time

Are triplets nursery all year round

Most nannies don't want to clean so you may need a cleaner

Are you willing to pay a nanny all day even if they don't do a lot 9/3

Tho obv will be washing to do and cooking

I would prob cook a meal daytime to heat up or do a casserole /pie /lasagne etx

Nannies re paid per family not child but will be a higher hourly rate I think for this job

How did you become guardian to triplets and do you get some financial help ?

You will need to provide a 7/8 seater for the nanny to drive

Or how will the nursery and school runs be done

Are they local to you
