2 year old 15 hours childcare (Under £100k from April 2024 onwards)

Hi,

Appreciate I am in a privileged position of currently earning over £100k this tax year. I plan for this to be under £100k going forwards from 6th April 2024.

Our child is 2 end of this month, so could be eligible for 15 hours funding from this April.

When I go to apply it asks if I earn over £100k in the "current tax year". Technically I am over £100k this tax year ending 5th April 2024. I will be claiming from 15th April 2024, so will not be over £100k for the period I am claiming. So am I able to select no I am not over £100k? Or am I not eligible until the next term?

Thanks appreciate any input!

I think the easiest thing would be to contact and ask them.

@Bancho did you ever figure out a way to solve this? In a very similar position and trying to figure out how to apply from April?! Tia

I did call childcarechoices before I did the initial post.. they didn't seem very confident about it (they had to ask around the office) but said I should apply after 6th April.

Nursery are saying that means I will not get it until September term onwards, so not great!

So I plan to apply on 6th April, send it in and see if any way they can apply it for April onwards, if not it will only apply from September I guess
