Has anyone got any experience of using Koru kids?
I am thinking about childcare, and it seems it might be cheaper and more flexible to hire a nanny with Koru, (as i don't have to pay any additional fees for extra children)

Koru Kids nannies seems like a good option - but are they taking a cut of the nannies fees/ salary?

Anyone got any thoughts or experience of using them, or other providers? please help!

They do take a cut of what they charge you but they handle the tax and NI etc.

What age of child? How many hours?

They are mostly used as afterschool nannies/babysitters, While some may have childcare qualifications, most are not professional nannies but normally Uni students doing it as a part time job to fit around Uni classes - so availability will depend on the student's schedule. Sometimes it can be difficult to get continuity of having the same nanny each time as it all depends on who is available when.

Quite a few people in my area use them. As pp said, for after school care as that’s their main offer. It’s a mixed bag, some have been assigned someone amazing who’s stayed with them quite a long time, others have gone through three or four unreliable and not very well suited people. When Koru Kids knows there is demand in an area I imagine there is pressure to have good options on their books so perhaps the vetting is less than ideal. A close friend had two people in quick succession who clearly thought watching kids after school would be easy money and hadn’t worked out. But that said, it’s a good system, sorts the payment out and will help you find someone else if you’re not happy, so you should get there eventually.
