Hi All

My son has eczema when he was 4 months and now he's 2.5 years old but it still there.

I am using him Aveeno cream , sometimes it helps sometimes not much...

I am very worried about his skin , it's getting marks and black....

Can you help me on it???

And one question which bath or shower gel is best for him???
I used a liquid for bath which my GP recommend Oilatum bath but it don't clean him it's just on water and he's sitting on it..

Please help me out in this matter I am very worried

Child's Farm moisturiser when used morning and night was amazing on my son's eczema. We used their shampoo too but I didn't use body wash if I could help it just water. Also not bathing too often as this dries the skin out, so not everyday, maybe every 2/3 days if you can Xxx

The only thing that stopped my eczema was cutting out the foods I was allergic to. Cleared up more or less overnight.

What do you mean about the skin being black? General advice is to very regularly use lots of emollient. (Finding the right one can take time.) I can’t use Aveeno but diprobase is great for my skin. Steroids may be needed once you have a breakout. Watch what you wash clothes in. Don’t bathe too regularly. Avoid scented products.

The skin getting marks and black doesn’t sound right? For my DS it was several things:
Cut out eggs
Cut out tomatoes
Childs farm cream 3 times per day
Ecover wash liquid and no fabric conditioner for laundry
Bath only every 3 days
Childs farm shampoo but no body wash or bubble bath

Hello, I'm so sorry you are going through this. It is so hard. Please check out The Aron Regime - it changed my son's life. Best of luck

My son has had bad eczema since he was one years old and the only moisturiser that has helped is double base gel. Although on bad flare ups he needs steroid cream as nothing else works, we saw a dermatologist who really helped us manage the condition and was able to diagnose why he has it - hereditary due to family asthma, hayfever etc

Hi, my husband can get bad eczema, we use tropic bubble bath, the cloud or Toby the cow bubble bars from lush and child’s farm bubble bath from savers. All give nice bubbles .

Cutting out dairy fixes it for dd. GP should be able to prescribe different creams to try if nothings helped so far. We also generally bathe her just in water (but do shampoo/condition hair) and avoid fabric conditioner like a pp said, and use non bio washing powder.
