Hi! My daughter has her first day with her childminder today. I am aware any bank holidays have to be paid once she starts. However the childminder is charging her for 01st Jan and she only starts on 02nd Jan, is this correct? Why should we pay for a bank holiday prior to her start date? I’m not sure this is right. For example, if she was due to start on 27th Dec, we shouldn’t have to pay for 25th and 26th right? I’m confused! Has anyone experienced this at all please?
