Hello,
we recently moved here from Switzerland and we are looking for a German speaking babysitter, who can look after our 3year old every now and then after school, so that she continues practising her German. We live not far from Redhill, Surrey. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated!

You can try your local Facebook groups.
Ideally however, one of the parent in the house should become the German parent. This is the only way she won't lose her German in the long run. A few hours here and there won't be enough sadly.

I wonder whether any of the teaching staff at the Deutsche Schule live in the Redhill area; you could always ask, just in case one of them can help.

Do you speak German at home as a family?
