Which is best to work consecutive/split days?

Hello,
I am new to this so please be kind. I have a little girl and I worked 3 consecutive days (term time) when she was 2 years old. She would be at nursery from 8-4:30. She was struggling with this so on the third day I reduced my hours and I was able to collect her at 2:30. Her behaviour has started to improve at home when I reduced her hours on the 3rd day.

This academic year, she is 3 years old I am working Mon & Thursday and Friday. Hours are a bit longer 8-5pm. But the split week is helping her, by Friday she’s had enough of nursery and after the weekend she’s ready to go in on Monday.

I can’t help but feel like I’m never “off”. Saturday we tidy up, go out & shopping. Sundays is the argh I have work on Monday feeling.

I don’t know if I should work on a Tuesday instead of Mondays? At least this way we’ll have 3 days together. She’s starting gymnastics and swimming after Christmas. So I need to balance this out properly 🫣!

sorry for the long post
