Pacey suggests a period of paid time off is negotiated for professional development it's hard to access all training in the evenings as it's just not put on for all things and it benefits your child....as suggested read the contract first.

Your childminder is self employed and sets her/his own terms of service .
When you signed the contract you must have agreed to this . If not acceptable to you then give notice and find another childminder with terms that suit you .
