Hi, I was just thinking the other day we should have a 'chat' section in here just for us special AP etc posters!

No didn't see the thread, ye gods - too busy daydreaming about the facebook bf? Were the DCs in the car? (I sincerely hope not) I have to say this is exactly why I don't let them drive - although cuts down on what they can do.

DS out of plaster now for a few weeks 'rest' as was causing much muscle wastage, but his walking/posture/foot position 100% better already. He was such a lamb everytime it was changed - not a murmur!

AP left Friday, really hard work towards the end. No suitable candidate on horizon - am no longer going to accept unsuitable APs a really good seeming few but cannot start for months! Wasn't late for school and managed a shower and hairwash - wet hair and no make up tho' so still need to try harder!

DH in OZ for 2 weeks as of yesterday, so I will be pulling my hair out! Although at least no shirts to iron (remembers having to do own ironing as dim and distant memory)

I thought of you in half term when I went down to The Rare Breeds Centre, it wasn't until I was looking at the map (on the drive, as we were leaving) that I realised how close it was.

At lunch, out by the tractor ride, there were 2 women at the next table (with 4+ children between them)and one said, "If Miriam Stoppard could see me now..." and I nearly asked if it was you (as I'm sure you said that was one of the jobs you'd done recently)! Will kick myself if it was.

Hi M
I totally agree, or maybe we should just met in TW for a coffee (or a glass of wine)...
No thank god, dc's weren't in car, she was coming out of college, turned right, didn't look, straight into another car!
completely smashed in drivers side of car and lhs of other car.. and guess what.... she didn't even think to apologise!
not a murmur until I pulled her up on it and told her she's going to have to pay half of the excess. now she's threatening to leave! typical! and yes she probably was dreaming of facebook bf
sounds like your ds is doing fantastic! bless, it must be so hard for him. But brilliant you can see improvement.
You are NOT to going accept any Crap AP's repeat after me! you deserve someone good, thoughtful and a whizz with the hoover
LOL, we're really near the RB's, wasn't me though, I've been working too hard recently, not sure dc's remember who I am.
Am in London now, but will be home, wed, hooray!
p.s makeup for school??????..... what's that???/???

Typical, smash up the car then bugger orf. PITA.

I'm so glad it wasn't you at RB, the children were HORRIFIC

You poor thing being stuck up there working, any chance to get a little culture? (or drunk, either would do for me - both if poss). In all seriousness, it must be tough being away for any length of time.

I do think we should have coffee (or wine)when you are less busy, perhaps Hotel du Vin or somewhere lovely where we can pretend prove we are pampered scrummies who are never coated in dribble or sticky handprints.

The school run make up is so I don't scare the children (and teachers)!

PMSL..I'm glad it wasn't me too if the kids were awful.....
I'm quite quiet in the next few weeks, so should be home more. How are you fixed? is daytime better or eve?
BTW I know this is probably impossible for you atm, but I think I've agreed to go to canterbury next week (wed 12th 7.30) to meet squiffy. Any chance?

I'd love to but no reg childcare and no DH, so not looking good. I will ask though.

Daytimes depends, I can even do lunch on a Tuesday - as DS' LSA brings him home and looks after him there. But other days I have a school run at 12pm.

If we met in the eve my DH would be very about the whole thing, they just don't get MN do they? We could do evening though, not ruling it out.

We could talk chickens, that would be great! I need lots of chicken wisdom for upcoming arrivals.

Right well I'm off for a bath and a naked stroll around the house, just because I can now that the AP has gone!

ingles2 · 03/03/2008 21:19

ahhh the relief when a crap one goes....
and I can certainly give you plenty of chicken wisdom....
You're on CAT aren't you I'll drop you a line to see if you're free but days are good for me if I'm not working.
