My eldest starts school in September and my youngest will still be in nursery.

During half term when my eldest is off (and I take annual leave to spend time with her) do I still send the little one to nursery? Do I send her all week? Keep her off? Send her some days?

I know this is entirely up to me, and more than likely I'll probably send her some days so I can have quality time with the eldest and and we can do things age appropriate for her and then keep them both at home with me other days so we can all do things together.

What does everyone else do?

Well you'd probably still be paying for the nursery those days wouldn't you? So as well as looking after a 4/5yo plus a nursery age child all day, you'd effectively be paying for the privilege!

They do whatever suits them.

I'd probably keep the little one in half the time to spend time with the older one and then have some days out together.

But depends on about a hundred different factors. How well do they get on? How much does the little one enjoy nursery? Do they share interests? Do you have the budget to take them both out? Etc etc
