Hi

I wondered if anyone could help...

I've received an email to re-confirm my eligibility for 30 free hours for my child but she's starting reception in September. Do I need to do this now? If not, what happens to her account on the Gov website? I will be sending her to after school club here and there but I don't know if I'll be able to use any of the 30 hours on that.

Thanks in advance

The 30 hours stops when your child starts Reception. It isn’t intended for after schools club.
Have you checked they have correct details? If your child is young maybe they thought a delayed start?

You get the option to renew incase your not intending to start until she's 5 but if she's going to school no need to renew as you can't use it if they are in school. If it expires before September and your using childcare it's fine as there is a 3 months grace period....if you've already used the grace period you have to pay or renew.

Thank you both so much. Appreciate it.
