Nanny hourly rate?

Hi- please can I ask what you pay your nanny per hour?

I'm hoping to ask for a raise but want to know if my current hourly rate is above or below average.

Are you doing full days? Do you take your child with you.

Which area?

South east.
40 hours over 4 days.
Take my child but only for 1 hour- I drop at nursery after their oldest child's school run.
I do MUCH more than my contract ( whole family washing- daily cleaning ( make beds etc ) cooking, food shopping, family diary management ) I am happy to do so but feel that it should be recognised. I love the family, the parents and children alike but with the cost of living, I feel I could earn the same as I do now for less effort and I'm struggling financially. Xx

£15/hr here, home counties. That’s for a nanny housekeeper which sounds like what you might be doing

Why are you doing all the extra stuff?

Average for your area is £15 an hour from nannies I’ve seen advertised on childcare.co. This is what I charge and I’m in the South East.

That would also cost around £15/hr gross where I live, however, quite a lot of families I know wouldn’t want a nursery age child in the house for an hour.
i assume you’re doing the cleaning stuff around a nursery drop off. (Changing parents sheets/parents laundry is a bit of a strange ask of a nanny).
