No childcare available, don't know what to do

My lo is 7 months, I had a childminder booked since I was pregnant and she's just let me down. This is the third time I've hunted ... There is literally 0 places in my area or even in the neighboring city. I have only found one childminder available but when I went for a visit the house was such a mess I just really don't feel great leaving my 10 month old there. I got a new teaching job whilst on mat leave ... It's a great school but it's full time and not flexible at all. I already felt bad about leaving her so much and now I don't even have a place I'm happy for her to go to.

I'm just at a total loss of what to do. Just seems an insane position to be in.

Have you looked at nurseries or just child minders?

What flex does your partner have to take on some childcare?

Have you contacted your LAs Early Years team? There might be a new cm registering that isn't advertising yet.
