Confinement Nanny

Hi I'm looking for a Confinement Nanny to stay with us for 2 -3 months. We are based in London. We are also due in May. If anyone has any recommendation please can you send them my way.

WTAF is a Confinement Nanny? I've been a nanny employer for years and never heard this term.

They’re normally called maternity nurses in the Uk. Eden Nannies is a good agency to use but you’re already cutting it fine for May (though that’s a good long booking so should be appealing).

Yes cutting close but the nanny we booked 8 months ago bailed on us 2 months out.

Look for a maternity nurse, that's what you will usually find them listed as here

But the link is crazy! Who stays home for a whole month, I didn't make 24 hours - went to asda on the way home from the hospital. Unless you have health complications there's no need to stay at home and babies are best cared for by their parents not a nanny

you'll need to go to one of the posh agencies to find a maternity nurse. expect to pay ££ in agency fees but you should be able to find someone good.

What I will say is that most mn won't cook for mum or do housework as stated in the link

They may do light snacks to help her keep up food intake if breast feeding but cooking isn't in her role usually

Same with housework. Obv does anything related to baby but they mn won't be cleaning your toilet and mopping the floor or your ironing etx

The mn is there to look after baby and help support and show parents how to care feed look after their baby
