Hi all, looking for some advice on what to do. We have a new nanny, she has been with us around 2 weeks now. Some context; she comes part time, in the afternoons, and primarily takes care of our 3 year old. The older kids don't spend much time with her as they are at school / clubs etc. She is here to play with her, gives her dinner, bath etc. The issue is that my youngest says she doesn't like her, she won't let her do anything without pushing back, wants me to feed/bathe/nappy changes etc as I am in and out of the house (I try and stay out as much as I can but this is not always possible). My older kids also don't really like the nanny all that much as they say she is loud and rude (we are quite a quiet, soft spoken kind of family and she is a little brash at times).
The issue is that I am desperate for some help, she is safe, on time, flexible etc. The only (and biggest) issue is that she is not loved by my kids. There are a couple of others things that I have talked to her about and she is a little flaky about doing them (like washing her hands, not eating from the same utensils as my kids). Is this normal? Does it take time? We have only had nannies that my kids have liked before so this has not been an issue at all. Sorry for my long post, I don't really know what to do. I don't want to let her go if I should I wait a while or cut my losses. Thanks for reading and please be kind!
