Messed up childcare

Looking for ideas/suggestions on childcare. My daughter goes to a nursery 2 days a week. I now need three days, and thought I'd sent an email asking ages ago. It never went through and the space has gone to another family. I don't have any childcare for Tuesdays now, and I feel so so stressed. I've tried another nursery, but they require a minimum of 2 days, as does the one she's currently at. I've tried 2 childminders and they are full.

Agree - join local Facebook groups, ask friends for ideas, move to the different nursery if they can do three days. Next time follow up emails or better still speak to the nursery in person.

Get on the waiting list for Tuesdays. In the meantime will another day do until you can switch to a Tuesday?

I agree with getting on the waiting list for Tuesday. Is there any temporary flexibility in yours and the baby's dad's jobs? We had about 3 months of one of us working 6- 1 and the other working 1-9 at one point due to a childcare fuck up (although I know not all jobs are that flexible)

What’s happening at the moment? Are you not working Tuesdays or are you juggling work and childcare?

If the latter you could ask if the nursery have a space on a weekly basis. If they have other children ill or on holiday they may be able to accommodate you.

And yes many nurseries have 2 day minimum so the child gets used to going
