Nanny for Sundays — have you found one?

Needing to recruit part time nanny to include Sundays, and some after school hours. I’ve advertised in multiple places including a site where there are students who work part-time as childcarers alongside studies, but no interest yet. Is it possible to find a nanny to cover Sundays do you think?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

You’ll be lucky……… if you pay significantly more you’ll find someone.

I had one but she brought her own child which might be an option depending on ages of your kids.

It's possible to find an after school nanny and it's possible to find a Sunday nanny, I think it's going to be extremely difficult to find someone who wants to do both elements. I would try advertising it as two separate roles. You will probably need to pay a higher than normal hourly rate for both elements.

There's a Nursery near to us which is also near to a major Hospital. The Nursery is open 7 days a week. Don't know if there's anything like this near to you?

I think you'd need to make the wage very attractive.

THis - students may well be keen on the SUnday job if it pays well but the after school could be a problem for them if they have lectures and seminars. You don't say how old your DC are but often a local 6th former is happy to do a bit of afterschool (but unlikely to want Sundays) so perhaps look there.

Sounds like you need 2 people

many nannies I know would Sundays happily in a second job but it’s well paid

I used to work Saturdays and Sundays (one or the either on a weekend) as did a few people I know who were childminders - I never charged more.

Depending on where you are you could try the Manchester childcare company - theyre not just in Manchester, they cover Birmingham and London too.

I’m a nanny who works Sunday - Wednesday for the same family and on the Sunday I charge time and a half. I have no problem working on a Sunday as long as it’s well paid and I know many other nanny’s feel the same.

Yes, this is what I’m finding. Good tip, thanks!
