I'm secretary to my DS playgroup and we're organising a trip in May. But, as we are a charity, we need to raise funds.

Has anyone got any ideas what the kids, aged between 2.5 and 4 yrs, can do?? A sponsorship would be best. They did a sponsored bunny hop last year, which went ok.

My mind has gone blank!!

What about a sponsored spring clean?!

Hmm let me think will come back with more serious suggestions.

can't think of anything pass sponsored toddles really. could you base it on "going on a bear hunt" or a teddy bears picnic. the older ones could ride trikes?

what about having a new to you sale either toys or clothes? do it along the lines of NCT and take a percentage? a bit more hard work but the potential maybe higher?

why not get the usbourne, mini iq, a photographer (we have a party plan one locally thats way cheaper than the one in mothercare), chocolate for chocoholics in - basically all those that give you comission and hold a sale after playgroup one day?

I'm part of Mini IQ if you are local to me? (I am in Herts and also a CM)

The best fund raiser we ever did was a Pram Race, all the Dads had to build a pram, and race with Mums in them (took some organizing, you need permission from the police to use a public road) It was brilliant, and we had a big BBQ after it, we raised almost a Thousand pounds by it. We charged each couple 5.00 to enter and they all got sponsored.

People sit talk about it.

Oh by the way Chel my BF is a Childminder in MK and she helped organize it.

Mini IQ is a company who sell childrens fun but educational books.... They are so gorgeous and i went to two parties myself and kitted out all the children for their birthdays/Christmas and all the parents love them! I know am starting out as a leader and will host a party for you if interested? You would get all the parents/friends assocaited with the playgroup together for the sale and you will recive a percent of the monies taken to spend on products for the setting in question?
I am sure if you were interested then Mini IQ would work out a deal to help your fund raising also. Its worth an ask definately!
If you are interested i would be happy to treavel to you-just let me know...
