Advice

I look after a couple of children after school. Looking ahead to Christmas presents I want to buy them some duvet cover sets as they seem to have everything else.
Is that OK to give or is that not personal enough?

I'm not sure that's a great idea. When DS was young I wouldn't have wanted anyone else choosing his duvet covers.

Some children sleep in a double bed so it would be too risky imo

I’d find it an odd gift as a parent to be honest. Can’t you just get them a selection box/sweet cone each?

Mummyboy1 · 16/10/2022 17:35

I did that but only as a live in nanny, was with them for 10 plus years! I wouldn't do it for children as an after school job. Bit too personal

Thanks. I was a bit unsure so welcome the responses.

I'd hate someone buying my child duvet covers. I know this sounds picky, but they may not go with the scheme of the room!

HighlandPony · 17/10/2022 02:47

Just give them a selection box. Parents probably think “great more shit in my house I don’t need” if they’ve not asked for it and I doubt any parent asks the babysitter for bedlinnen

What an odd thing to think of surley a child who has everything has bedding?

My daughters childminder bought her a lovely soft blanket last Christmas, she absolutely loves it.
