My 4 month old baby sleeps through the night the majority of the time but she just won't nap for longer than 30 minutes during the day despite being tired. She has wake windows of 1 hour and a half, and at this point I put her down for a nap. She's got really good recently at settling herself to sleep so I always put her down awake and she'll suck her thumb and get herself to sleep within minutes usually. We have a good bedtime routine and also a routine for when she goes down for a nap which consists of closing the blinds, turning on her white noise machine and putting her in her sleeping bag before laying her in her cot. But despite all of this she always wakes up after half an hour, I dont rush to go and get her and always leave her to see if she can settle herself back to sleep but she never does. I'm very aware that I'm lucky she sleeps so well at night but she obviously still needs to nap during the day otherwise she gets really overtired.
Has anyone got any tips because I feel like I've tried everything.
Thanks! 😊
