How many sessions of After School / Breakfast club?

Hi! I'm considering taking a new job that would mean my son would need to go to breakfast club X3 a week and after school club X3 a week. I would have one day off every week, plus the holidays I would be predominantly with my children ( the ability to take them to work with me in this new role ). I do feel that is a lot per week but also think being with him more in the holidays may be worth it?
How many sessions do your children do/ do they mind? X

I work 4 days a week so they go 4 x breakfast and 4 x after school! They are fine. Plenty of parents work 5 days a week so their kids go 5 days! Some only go 2 or 3 because others can drop off/ share. It is how it is and I wouldn’t over think it!

He is 5.5 - in reception. He currently goes X2 to ASC and loves it as he only does an hour ( he would still only do an hour )
I currently work an office based role mostly remotely but it's v stressful with trying to work with the children etc. I was a Nanny for years previously and have been offered a 4 day week with a new family, I can bring my DD (2) everyday and DS in the holidays. X

My two currently do 3x breakfast and 3x after school club. Dropping a breakfast club session at the end of the month as my hours are changing.
They LOVE it. Lots of their friends do the same days so they are usually having a whale of a time when I go to pick them up!

My ds did 3.30 until 6pm five days a week from reception.

He loved it. He's an only child and after school club gave him a 'little tribe' of mates to tear around with, letting off steam before coming home.

Most children are very adaptable, as long as there is a clear routine. Your ds will be fine.

My eldest DS was in breakfast club 5 days a week from reception and then with childminder 3:15-5/5:30 every day.

he loved it but also did nursery full time from a young age so was used to that sort of environment & routine

Thank you all. I am sure he would be fine but he didn't do nursery full time etc and has not really been in much childcare bar school, so just feels a lot in our circumstances. Xx

We'll both my kids did/do 3 full days in nursery, so 7.45-5.30 and they survived or are surviving 😂 they just adjust so he'll be fine xx

He will be fine. What happens to the 4th working day ?

and you said onto an hour so are they hours of new nanny job very short /early finish

sounds great esp if can take both kids in the holidays. That’s rare

Mine go every day and have done since youngest was in Year 3. In Reception they did 3x per week. They are there anything from an hour to 2.5 hours.

When Dd started reception she did 5 days of breakfast club and after school club. Then covid happened and they both closed for a while. Now only breakfast club is open and she still chooses to do 5 days because she loves it so much.
