Nappy bin refill

Hello all,

Hope you are all well.

probably in the wrong section but I couldn’t find a relatable thread.

Please can any one suggest cheaper nappy bin refill bags?. Using Angelcare at the moment and it’s £18 for 3 bags which lasts no longer than 2 weeks and I think it’s a bit expensive when I could easily put them in carrier bags, which isn’t as convenient/ clean.

Surely must be a cheaper brand suitable to this bin?.

Thank you.

With the Angelcare bin, can't you just use ordinary nappy bags? You don't actually need the refill cassettes.
if it's the convenience of emptying it that you want, just line the bin with a bin liner.

Don’t use them at all, we put the nappies straight in the bin then empty to the outside bin every 3-4 days. No smell cos the thing is contained and then wash it out once a week.

I got a massive roll off ebay for about £5
lasted like 6 months- just keep an older cassette.- easy to fill it.
after that i just use a bin bag and wrap it around the cassette 🙂

We had the same issue with the tommee tippee bin. Eventually gave up and used nappy bags. Like £1 for 300

I used to use the nappy bin but just with normal nappy bags. Worked just as well for us and way cheaper.

Yes it's the wrong board 🙄

vipersnest1 · 03/06/2022 20:59

@Wickywickyyow, does it really matter? Why so snippy? 🤔

Wickywickyyow · 03/06/2022 21:29

Yes actually it does matter when this board has 90% of threads posted that should be elsewhere. It's been a source of frustration for regular posters to this board and we would dearly like mnhq to rename it to assist those who can't read the current description at the top.

We got fed up of the cost and faff too and switched to a heavy duty black bin liner. Took of the nappy bin lid, pushed bag into the bottom of the bin through the trap door, then put the lid back on. Very cheap and effective.

@Wickywickyyow, so why not just report it and ask for it to be moved?
You're making a whole lot of nothing into something.
