Tax free childcare - HMRC corresponding contribution not showing

I wonder if anyone can help or knows what we are doing wrong?

I changed jobs and set up a tax free chilcare account as no longer eligible for vouchers. DH and I have paid in each month for 2 months now and there is no corresponding contribution (government top up) showing. I understood from googling that it should show almost immediately?

Have we not done something? We're going to call them tomorrow but it's difficult with work and their lines always being so busy.

Any advice would be appreciated. thanks

Have you filled out the application part that mentions salary and other benefits? If so, have you done it correctly?

It should definitely show immediately so there must be a problem. I always found them to be helpful on the phone but it can take a while to get through. I found ringing as soon as the phone line opened gave the best chance of speaking to someone more quickly!

Thank you both. I don't know whether we have filled in the application form correctly! I would hope so as we have been allowed to set up an account and our contributions have gone in and are showing. We definitely earn below the threshold so no concerns there.

Guess I will just have to call and find out. So annoying, childcare vouchers worked perfectly well but I changed jobs so.......

You should get a message confirming your eligibility each time and you have to renew every few months. Have you missed the cut off for top ups? Mine shows instantly

Check your secure messages.
I had to call them today. They're really efficient. I only waited a few minutes to get through (about a slightly different issue).

They said there was a mix up with the account. I tried to open one a while back, realised I wasn't eligible (still receiving vouchers) and left it. Then DH opened his when I changed my job. I think it confused the system but it's been sorted (or at least it should be soon).

Thanks for replying.
