i called OFSTED today to ask about having a variation for two babies under one as im going to go back to work soon, after maternity leave and they were very vague what they wanted..i asked them exactly what they wanted and basically she came back and said have i notified them i have a new baby!! i wasnt asking them about that i wanted to know what to do .. so what do i need to tell them..how i will manage my day? what eqpt i have for two babies? what do they mean exactly..why cant they be clear?

OK

Write them a letter (or an email) & plan your day for them

Getting up - feeding 2 babies for breakfast, school runs, naps, lunch etc

Tell them how the babies will eat (highchairs etc) where they will sleep (cots? moses baskets?)

Basically that you will be well organised & professional

You should technically have informed them that you had your baby because it affects the number of children on your certificate - which was why she went on about it. But emphasise in your letter that you have been minding for X yrs that you looked after babies for x yrs when you did y ifswim

Good luck
