I have used it (as a nanny). It's basically a page for parents / childcarers to advertise themselves. Its not like an agency so you will need to do all the background checks yourself. You don't pay through the site so it depends on what you decide works best for you

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 20/02/2022 15:30

It's just an advertising platform.

It is just a marketing platform, to help connect parents with childcare providers.

You would be a sole trader providing a service and should declare turnover when it exceeds Trading Allowance.

I really rate it. I've found loads of work through there and have lots of reviews on my profile from families I've worked for. You shouldn't work cash in hand, all money should be declared. So if you are working lots of ad hoc then you'd be self employed and if you're working more set hours then you should be employed. Hope this helps.

It's simply to advertise or hire childcare on.

Payment between parents and childcare providers is done separately.

As a nanny I use the site. I don’t pay for membership as I am only interested in parents who pay for an account .
Those that can’t afford to pay for an account can’t afford a nanny.
I still find the majority of families don’t want to pay minimum wage and don’t understand what employing a nanny entails.
Nanny agency are far far far better than this site.

I used it as a childminder to advertise, parents would then contact me , no money went via the website. Like a previous poster said I too did not pay for membership I felt if a parent was looking for childcare they should be the ones paying to be able to contact me. If they could not afford those fees they could not afford me. I charged a deposit and fees in advance.
