Hello,
Not sure if this is in the right area. I have been a nanny previously for a long time but due to moving and having a baby I stopped working with my old nannying family. Now we are settled, I have been thinking about getting back into it but really nervous about it all so I am looking for advice/ people to share their experiences of what it is like nannying with your own children. There are lots of threads on here from the parent’s view but couldn’t find any from the nanny’s side of things. Thanks in advance!

I’m not a nanny, but a friend did this after she had her own child. In that she went back to her old job after maternity leave, and took her own child with her.

Because of the continuing relationship, the family paid her the same rate as they did before she had her baby, which isn’t standard.

She stayed in the job, and was very happy. But she did say that she felt that she always had to put her own child last in relation to feeding, naps, activities etc. She said that two children she was caring for always came first and she needed the job.
