Adhoc childcare? (Cambridge)

Is this a thing?
I've tried to find a childminder but they all want minimum two full set days commitment.
I have a ten month old who I'd love to find care for for just a few hours once a week so I can get some chores done.
I know this sounds more of a nanny task, but we don't want a nanny in the house as husband working from home and we need the break!
We're in Cambridge by the way, if anyone can recommend anyone! Thanks!

Sadly I think you will struggle to find this type of childcare. As no one will hold a space open for you for just a few hours a week, they will loose too much money on the space. If you did find someone willing to give you an adhoc contract there is still no guarantee they will have a space for when you want it . Childminders local to me have minimum of 7 hours a day for 2 days a week policy, no half days or few hours here and there .
