I used to charge for bank hols (which would mean getting paid for xmas day etc) and this was on the NCMA contract (there is a tick box or something) but then I decided I didn't want to work bank hols anymore so as wasn't available, decided not to charge.

I know several people who will be charging full fees as its a bank holiday. I charge 1/2 fees for the whole xmas holidays - xmas eve to new years day inclusive. Parents are happy to consider this a mutual holiday - all the parents I've worked with have been off work themselves at this time.

I charge half fees! Parents didn't question it so think they are ok with it!!

I charge full fees, it's a bank holiday! Most people get paid bank hols. I dont know a single CM who doesnt charge for bank hols. In fact all the CM I know even get 4 weeks full paid annual leave too! I will get the same but half fees starting January as I found this year I havnt had a single day off due to not charging at all for my time off and I'm almost at breaking point! - In Spain now though

In fact, I've just remembered, If parents ever want me to work a bank hol, I charge double, no one's ever queried it. Probably because all my parents have these days off anyway. Golly, I sound like a money grabbing witch dont I! We're obviously very mean down here in SW London
