Nanny/Housekeeper

Does anyone have any suggestions of where to find a nanny / housekeeper? I’m looking for some part time help as I also look after my Mum, along with a baby and toddler (at nursery until 3). It not cleaning but just general house admin, help with cooking and most importantly, someone we’d be comfortable to look after the children when I go and help my Mum. We have had a nanny for a few months a while ago but it really ended up being more ad hoc childcare and understandably they wanted a more child-cantered role. Just not sure where to start looking! We’re based in central London.

I think you're looking for a mother's help. Maybe that is what you need to search for when using something like childcare.co.uk

Start by writing a clear job description
What are the daily hours, what does a typical day look like, what list of jobs do you need someone to do

Even if you don’t send this to candidates, it’s useful to have

The cheapest place is Childcare.co.uk
Write a clear ad and then also set aside a few hours to looking for candidates and messaging them asking them to look at the ad

It’s time consuming but cheaper than using an agency

You’ll be looking at paying around £14/hr net and if they are only/mainly working for you, you’ll need to pay their tax and NI on top
