Is it normal for my 7 week old baby girl to be in so much pain when she poos I've taken her to the hospital and also she's had a doctors appointment I hate seeing her the way she gets when she's pooing it isn't nice to see my princess in pain.... anyone suggest anything ?? Doctors said come back if it hasn't stopped in like 2-3 weeks !! Sad

OP you might want to ask mumsnet to move this post as it’s in childcare.

Our DS is 6 weeks old and he needs to put a lot of effort into pooing, quite often he’ll get frustrated and it’ll make him cry. My understanding is that it’s normal. They’re learning how their bodies work.

Is your DD breastfed or on formula?

I've never had a baby who cries like my daughter does when she's going. I've tried everything to help her but it doesn't work she really tences up aswell especially her legs and when she does I can't move them

I have it's taken her 4 weeks to get back to me, she's coming out to see me on the 2nd so I will mention it again to her but she's useless.

The formulae may be too rich ask about changing it.
