I’m having a wobble about childcare. Our new nanny is lovely but I’m not sure she’s “the one”. We really struggled to find someone and after original childcare plans fell through we were far too late to register for nursery so had to go with the only available person.
For anyone with a nanny, how did you know you found the right person? Our nanny is lovely but I don’t feel we click with her as a family. She is sweet and takes care of our children ok but I feel like I don’t know her at all. If this were an office job it would be different. She gives short answers if I ask how her weekend was. I have no idea what her hobbies are, if she has a family etc., and I really have to ask lots of questions to know how the children were each day.
I might be being ridiculous (waiting to be told so) but has anyone had a nanny that didn’t seem to fit with their family/ what did you do?
