We absolutely love our nanny but we had a dilemma we needed help with. Our nanny is contracted to do 40 hours. It says in her contract that she cannot bank hours which is fine.
She has been late a few times (due to very good reasons) and has let us know. That's not the issue. The issue is that one of the days she was late, she also had to do overtime. She has now charged us for the overtime but has also expected us to pay her for the time she was late as its part of her 40 hours.
Our dilemma is that we are not sure if expecting her to work later because she was late is considered banking hours or if we shouldn't be expected to pay her overtime if she was late the same day.
We plan to talk to her about this.
Any help would be much appreciated.
