Pick up from school options

Looking to see what people would do in my situation. I work full time, 4 days at home and one day in the office, although this may change. My DD is in primary 6 at a near by school, but not a school in our catchment area. I am struggling for ways for her to get picked up from school, with my job I can’t nip out and pick her up, and my partner works shifts so isn’t always free to pick her up. My family stay half an hour away so for them to do the school pick up would take them over an hour. I can’t get a childminder as they all want a minimum of 2 hours a day and I only need her dropped off at the house. I have thought of taxis but the thought of DD getting in a taxi with a stranger puts me off. HELP! I have applied for the school bus but this may be rejected as I put in a placing request for the school.

I would go for the childminder and pay them for 2 hours but get her dropped off at your house
Presumably it’s only for a few weeks as she will be in high school in September

Pay a childminder for the after school session....most won't drop off you will have to collect as they havd other children to consider and driving children around like a taxi isn't that great for the others as well as issues like others being picked up and getting them fed.

Change your working hours? Start at 6 and finish early?

Is there a nearby after school club she could go to?

How far is the school?

Can you do condensed hours? So 2 or 3 longer days, and then she stays at childminders longer, and then you can finish work early enough on the other days to pick her up from school?

How far is the school? Is there a normal bus she could get?

How far are you away from the school ?
As that makes a difference as to the likelihood of finding someone who might bring her for you.
What have you done for the first 6 years and 2 terms?
Do you know other parents at the school ?
