So I'm going threw some requirements that are needed and I have done everything but Iv just come across something saying I need a safeguarding certificate now what I need to know is that is it the same as a first aid course?? Sorry if I sound silly. Thank you very much

No, safeguarding is how to look for signs of things such as abuse, neglect, extremism etc. First aid is emergency medicine.

If you contact your local authority they should be able to provide you with details of online courses to complete.

Yes safe guarding and first aid are completely different courses which you will need to renew every three years. Some local authorities want you to do there face to face safeguarding courses so best to contact your local early team to find out your local areas requirements. With first aid you will need to complete a 12 hour paediatric first aid course .

Yu would neeed minimum. Safeguarding, firstaid and food hygiene. Council should help. They will often run courses but they may point you to an oline resource but don,t just do an online one off your own back as you want to make sure it is recognised. You should have some one who can advice you on setting up as a childminder they would be my first contact.
