Retainer?? Help?!

Hi all
I am a new childminder and was wondering if some of you more experienced minders could help me.....

I have been asked to have a 6month old and 3yr old from January full-time which is obviously great but as it is such a large portion of my possible income I'd like to ask for a retainer.....

Whats the norm? Any ideas/suggestions/general help would be much appreciated

:-)

Thanks
Emma

hi there..half fee is normal(according to ncma too!) but is up to you, you could charge 75% or as little as 25%, i would / do go with half fee tho, so if theyre going to be paying you for eg £200 per week you will need £100 a week from them, give them a softner tell them, they can have a couple of settling in sessions during that time for a few hours each, ach week??
