Parking permit for nannies

We are moving to a CPZ area in Barnet and have just learnt that apart from providing one time use visitors parking permits there are no other parking permits available for live out nannies. We are limited to only having 200 of the visitor permits a year and will leave us none for actual guests! Has anyone had any experience on this in Barnet?

I have considered renting a parking/driveway but the nearest available is quite expensive and inconvenient.

Any other options to consider?

Insure her on your car so she doesn’t need to drive to work?

We did suggest that when she first joined but she preferred to use her own car... Although I think that might be the way

Morning - I wonder how you managed to resolve the parking for your nanny. We are now in a similar situation. Many thanks

Another north London borough and we only get 50 tickets per year (for 8am-6pm restrictions, 6 days a week). So I have the same issue with my cleaner that you do with your nanny! We can request more but it's not guaranteed that we will get them... have to have a god reason.
You will either have to have her park as near as she can just outside the zone, rent a neighbour's driveway or insure her on your car (or if you need your car, buy and permit another small car for her to use during her working hours).

When I worked in Barnet, I asked a local pub if I could park in their carpark. They very kindly let me because it was “off peak” for them

Do you have anything similar close by?
