Video Call inspection

Good evening,

I’m a newbie on here and was wondering if anyone is able to give me any guidance on an upcoming video call inspection. I got “The Call” last week and was able to call back today to book my inspection slot in. I have just over a week to dig through my moving boxes (perfect timing) but didn’t know if anyone else has had the “video inspection” experience. If so I would love to hear from you - I’m going into panic mode!!

No I have been registered for 5 years 😌

I was told that they are not doing routine inspections until January for childminders.

I honestly can't see how they can grade via video. The kids already act differently when they're here never mind on video. How can they see the finer points of what goes on etc?

Do you have children on roll at the moment?

NannyClo is a nanny, not a childminder. Even if she was a childminder, Ofsted are not doing grade inspections, they are doing compliance. See Ofsted Rolling Update.

Thats what I thought I was luck enough to have mine in March

I was called last week well I say called she let the phone ring twice then given the choice of two time slots at silly times
So I am having a physical inspection when lock down is over given them suitable times and days that suit me .
Besides that don't actually trust them with e mailed documents been registered for five years and each year I have to pay the fee there is always some issue
Not the inspectors fault I know just the organisation.
