Self isolating

One of the children I care for has been asked to self isolate as they are a contact of someone who has Covid.

My boss has messaged to inform me and said rest of the family are allowed to carry on as normal unless their child starts having symptoms. No mention of what they expect of me.

Can I ask what you have done under these circumstances or if you have sorted the potential of this happening
with you nanny employers already?

Thanks

Its just the child that isolates. The child is supposed to stay away from others as much as possible though

Child isolates. Rest of you carry on as normal

If child gets symptoms then they test and you self isolate till test back

Sorry I realise now I wasn’t clear in my OP I know only the child needs to currently isolate.
I also missed out on my post that I have two other families over the week who I work for on different days.

My concern is that going into this job is putting the other families who employ me at risk. (I know there is always a risk but this obviously increases it somewhat)
I know the child doesn’t have symptoms but there is a chance she could develop them.

It was more would I be unreasonable to not go in to this job this week? It’s only one day.
Or at least speak to my boss about the concerns I have. There is no way the child will stay in her room (she is old enough to do so but I know it will be a battle) so they would not be isolated from me.
They would be able to juggle childcare at home themselves so not a disaster for them.

I hadn’t got round to raising my concerns with my boss. But as it happens she has just messaged me and told me to stay at home as she feels it isn’t fair on the other families. And it’s not an issue as they can cover the childcare for the kids themselves this week.
So all good in the end. Phew!
