Can you preload a tax free childcare account and withdraw it with the benefit when you're no longer eligible?

I'm sure we're not alone but we've been impacted financially by covid and due to lots of reasons are expecting this impact to continue.

We're currently eligible for tax free childcare, but won't be in the final quarter of the year.

If i put in extra now, will I keep the 20% benefit even when i withdraw it to pay for nursery during the period I'm not eligible?

No when you with draw money you can only withdraw the money you put in

I think monsterjam has misunderstood what you’re asking. Yes you can use the funds to pay for nursery fees including the top-up. If you withdraw funds for yourself then you can only take what you paid in

Thank you Deeptreacle. I probably wasnt very clear Monsterjam, sorry!
