Quries around Childcare Funding Form

Hey All,

Just looking for some advice. I currently receive 30 hours free childcare as part of the government funded scheme. I completed my funding form stating that i wanted to use 20 hours per week split across 48 weeks. I have since received a unexpected bill of £400+ because it would seem my provider has not stretched the hours as requested on the funding form.

I'm not an expert but it would seem the hours have only been stretched at term time rather than full duration of 48 weeks that i requested.

From my calculations i expected a invoice of just over £100 based on 18 hours pre-agreed additional time.

Has anyone come across a situation like this before. Where do i stand on the basis my childcare provider has not followed my funding form?

Look forward to your responses!

Hi, does your provider offer stretched funding? As it’s down to the provider to decided if they offer it term time only or stretched not the parent.i would double check what your provider offers and what the consumables charges is for

Hey,

Yes, provider offered to stretch the funding at my request but not claimed as per my funding form. It looks like they have claimed more hours than what my funding form stated.
