Mother's help: how would this work?

so ... I am having another baby in December, when my dd will be 16 months old. I don't really want anyone helping me with the babies, but I wouldn't mind some help in the house with washing nappies and preparing meals and unstacking the dishwasher and folding laundry - all the stuff that I would probably do while the kids were asleep .. this way, I get to sleep while they do, fingers crossed.

So I'm thinking of maybe getting someone in one or two mornings a week, just to generally tidy up, maybe get a meal ready for me to just whack in the oven for that night etc etc ... does anyone have anoyone who does anything like this, and if so, does it work out okay?
