Hi
I'm an older nanny and been with my family for 5 years. One child(7) has significant special needs but attends a special school. I also look after a 3 year old.
Both parents work at the main hospital as co consultants. I'm concerned about where I stand work wise over the next few months, because i.get the bus to and from work, and obviously the parents are going to be very busy. The kids always have cold etc so.would be hard to tell.
Is anyone else worried about the virus ?

Yes, though from the other way round, I.e. as an employer. I would recommend talking to your employers. Good nannies for special needs children are gold dust and I would expect they will reassure you that your job is safe. They may also be able to adapt the role to reduce risk to you.
For example we have changed the hours of our nanny so she does not have to be on public transport at peak times.
Talk to them, openness really is the best policy here.
