Hmm...

junk modelling
telescopes from cardboard rolls
modelling clay
painting onto different colours (like gold or white on black)
baking and cooking (buns, pizzas, cookies)
nature hunt for bugs and leaves
scooters, bikes, scateboards
top trumps
magnetix, knex, meccano constructions
paper airplanes
collages(ie monster collage)
pavement chalks

..will try and think of more.

I have 9yr old boy mindee back this week after school holidays and find him the hardest to think of after school ctvivities for, expecially if he's on his own. So I feel your exhaustion!

He also likes facts, ie will look at shark or snake book and tell you their lengths, what they eat, how many teeth they have.

Board games - We have loads and at the moment its all they want to do - or go to the park & play football in the garden.
Also computer games - but I don't like to let them do this too much,
Construction toys of any sort,
the babies aquadraw has also been a big hit.
Helping me cook - boys are more keen than the girls in this house - not that there is much in it they all want to be involved
